Carlo Catellani was born in Parma 27-3-1960. In 1973 he obtains diploma III and after 2 years of professional school he starts the career of fabbro, by making the apprentice in a workshop.
Logan Smith was born in Notting Hill (London) 12-6-1931. Licence in architecture in Cambridge 19-9-1954. Fallen in love with the equestre world, he specializes himself in the restoration of hippodromes and horse circuits, while realizing in 1981 "projette capolavoro" of "Tamboring Blufran Horses Club" in Kentucky. Smith keeps up to date constantly about design.
Both meet in Minorca (Balearic Islands) in the summer of 1985 for the "International Meeting Votaries Gin" and are in the extraordinary euphoria of these evenings where are born the ideas to start the project and the artisanal production of lamps of furnishing.
Their anticonformist spirits choose road of an almost country, typical peace of that which it lived out of the stress and the pressures of sales turnover, a road which evokes distances preindustriels and which refers to a made work of hands and a brain.
